Police investigating after woman injured in Poole incident

It's thought she might have been struck by an air weapon pellet

A woman's been left with bruising to her stomach following an incident in Poole, which police are investigating.

The victim, in her 30s, was walking along Castle Street from Poole Quay between 10.00 and 10.30pm on Saturday 21st September.

As she approached Orchard Plaza, it's alleged she was struck by a projectile, possibly an air weapon or BB gun pellet.

Afterwards, she saw a man looking at her and laughing and challenged him.

He became abusive towards her and left the scene.

Police say a man in his 20s is assisting officers with enquiries.

No arrests have been made.
