Emergency services fight to put out fire engulfing two Bournemouth flats
A dozen firefighters attended to try and put the fire out
Emergency services have fought to put out a fire that engulfed two flats in a building in Bournemouth.
Responders were first seen attending the property at Pinecliffe Avenue in the south of the town just before 10am as they raced to tame the blaze.
Smoke was seen bellowing from the second floor of the property as firefighters entered the building to help any residents still inside escape.
Eventually, the building was evacuated and the emergency services were able to help bring the fire under control.
The fire continued to rage through the roof of the building, but firefighters would use hose jets to extinguish the fire, bringing the fire to a smoulder.
Thankfully, no one living in the flats were hurt by the fire, and police investigations are underway to establish the cause of the incident.
In a statement, Dorset and Wiltshire Police confirmed officers were on the scene. They said: "We were called at 9:36am today to a property fire on Pinecliffe Avenue, Bournemouth.
"Crews from Springbourne, Westbourne and Christchurch were mobilised to the incident. On arrival found a fire on the second floor and roof space of the property consisting of two domestic flats.
"Twelve breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reel jets and two main jets to extinguish the fire. The aerial ladder platform was also used and no casualties were reported. The stop came in at 11:43am and crews are still on scene dampening down."
