Three men arrested in connection with a burglary on a farm in Purbeck will face no further police action.

Dorset Police received a report at 12.03am on Monday 3 October of suspicious activity involving a vehicle at a farm in the Affpuddle area.

It is reported that a break-in occurred at a farm building, which contained horse tack.

The vehicle left the area and was subsequently located on the A35 near Morden Park Corner, where the occupants reportedly fled the scene. The vehicle has been seized.

Following searches of the area, a 19-year-old man and a 30-year-old man – both from Verwood – as well as a 42-year-old man from the Alderholt area were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"Following further enquiries by officers, all three men have now been released without charge and will face no further police action.

"Enquiries into the matter remain ongoing."
