A number of cars have been jumped on, kicked and had glass bottles thrown at their windscreens in Weymouth.

Dorset Police say a group of young people are reported to have been involved in incidents along Wooperton Street, between 8.00 and 9.00pm on Monday (11th September).

It's understood the group of males and females were aged between 13 years old, up to their early 20s.

They left the scene onto Park Street and possibly on towards Westham Bridge afterwards.

PC Bryce Scott-Jones, of Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

“I am really keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or who may have relevant camera footage of this incident recorded on their home security cameras.

“Also, if your vehicle was parked in the area and you have received any damage that has not yet been reported to police, please get in touch.”
