Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Bournemouth crash

A man in his 30s was knocked from his bike on Castle Lane West

A motorcyclist has been left with serious injuries, in a collision involving his bike and a car in Bournemouth.

The collision happened on Castle Lane West, near the junction with Cox Avenue, at around 5.40pm on Tuesday (11th February).

A blue Toyota Corolla and a Keeway motorcycle were involved.

We're told the injuries from the rider, who's in his 30s, aren't life-threatening or life-changing.

There's now an appeal for witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Chris Brolan, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision to establish the full circumstances and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and may have seen either of the vehicles before the incident or captured relevant dashcam footage.

“Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond to this incident and I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during this period.”
