Appeal to trace man missing from Poole Hospital

Searches are taking place to trace a man who's gone missing from Poole Hospital - with police sharing CCTV images.

56 year David Benham was last seen at the hospital at around 6.30pm on Sunday (26th February), with concerns raised for his welfare.

He was last seen on foot, heading in the direction of Poole Park on Parkstone Road.

Dorset Police have released images of David, while he was at Poole Hospital

Description

David is described as:

  • Five feet six inches tall
  • Stocky build
  • Short greying black hair and a receding hairline
  • Black moustache
  • Wearing a knee length black coat that's red inside the hood
  • Baby blue t-shirt
  • Grey baggy checked trousers
  • Black trainers

Inspector Jon Wasey, of Dorset Police’s Missing Person Support Team, said:

“We remain concerned for David’s welfare and are renewing our appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

“We have now obtained CCTV images of David leaving the hospital that show the clothing he was wearing and I am hoping they may jog someone’s memory. Also, I would be keen to hear from anyone who has located any discarded clothing matching the ones pictured.

“I am appealing to any motorists who were travelling near to Poole Hospital between 6.25pm and 7pm on Sunday 26 February 2023 to please check their dashcam for any footage that may help with showing David’s movements on the day he was last seen.

“Finally, if you see this appeal David, please get in touch with us or your family and let us know where you are. We all just want to make sure you are OK.”
