A man has suffered head injuries from a fight involving a group of people in Bournemouth town centre on Christmas Eve.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault following the attack in St Michael's Lane at around 11.20pm on Sunday.
Police said a man aged in his 30s from Bournemouth was taken to hospital.
Detective Constable Rhiannon House said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and has information about what happened to please come forward.
"Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who may have relevant footage of the incident, either on home CCTV, dashcam or a mobile phone.
"Officers are carrying out enquiries at the scene and can be approached by anyone with information or concerns."
