A man has suffered serious injuries and a dog has died after an accident near Weymouth last night.
A single vehicle was involved in the crash on the A353 near Osmington.
Emergency services were called at around 6.49pm.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:
"Officers attended, along with the fire and ambulance service.
"One man was taken to hospital with injuries that were believed to be serious.
"It was also reported that a dog that was in the car had died.
"The local authority was notified due to ice on the road and the road was reopened at around 12.30am."
