Man suffers serious head injury after being robbed in Bournemouth

A man has suffered a serious head injury after being robbed in Bournemouth.

Police say it happened at around 3pm on Saturday (7 October).

The man was assaulted in an alleyway between the junction of Beaufort Road and Stamford Road and it was believed his wallet had been stolen.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury that is believed to be serious but not life-threatening.

It was reported that two men were seen running away from the alleyway immediately after the incident.

Descriptions

They were described as both being around six feet two inches tall with slim, athletic builds and aged between 20 and 30. Both men were topless and wearing black shorts and black baseball caps.

Detective Sergeant Leo Christian, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are conducting various enquiries into this robbery, and I am appealing to any witnesses who were in the vicinity to please contact us.

“I would also urge any residents with home CCTV or doorbell cameras in the area, or motorists with dashcam, to please review their footage from around the relevant time period to see if they have captured anything that might assist our investigation.”
