Man pinned against wall and robbed in Weymouth
It happened at 8.30am in the morning in New Street
A man has been pinned against a wall and had his wallet stolen in Weymouth.
Dorset Police have just released details of the incident that happened at around 8.30am on Wednesday 10 April.
It is reported that the offender then made off in the direction of Bond Street towards the Natwest bank. The victim’s bankcard was later used to make several fraudulent transactions.
Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries.
Description
The offender – who is known to the victim – is described as aged in his mid-20s, six feet tall, of heavy build with short brown hair.
Police Constable Joseph Garrard, of Weymouth police, said: “This incident was reported to police on Sunday 21 April 2024 and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to identify the man responsible for this robbery.
“I would like to hear from any witnesses who were in the area at the time who may have seen what happened.”
