The Mercedes driver wasn't hurt.

PC Mike Golder, of Weymouth police, said:

“We are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.

“I would also like to urge anyone who was driving in the area who has dashcam fitted to please check their footage to see if they have captured the collision or the vehicles involved in the moments leading up to it.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
