Man found with possible stab wound in Bournemouth

Police are trying to work out what happened to the victim

A man's been found with a possible stab wound to his knee in Bournemouth, with police looking to work out how it happened.

Dorset Police had a report at around 5.30am yesterday morning (Tuesday 23rd May) that a man was injured at an address in South Kinson Drive.

It's thought the victim, in his 40s, suffered the injury in the Montgomery Avenue area some time after 1.00am.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Investigations Officer Stevie Tiernan, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are conducting enquiries to establish how the man came to sustain his injury. I would urge anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a man with an injured leg on a bicycle in the area of Montgomery Avenue and South Kinson Drive during the early hours of Tuesday 23 May 2023.

“I would also urge motorists with dashcam who were in the vicinity, as well as residents with home CCTV or doorbell cameras, to please check their footage for anything of relevance.”
