Man dies in hospital after being hit by bus in Poole
The seriously injured man was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital
A man who was seriously injured when he was hit by a bus in Poole has died in hospital.
The pedestrian, who was a local man in his 40s, was knocked down in Turlin Road shortly before 2.30pm on Friday.
He was flown by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital where he died on Saturday.
His family have been informed.
Sergeant Sarah Jones of the Dorset Police traffic unit, said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly died at this extremely difficult time for them.
"We owe it to them to establish the full circumstances of what happened and our investigation into this collision remains ongoing.
"I would continue to encourage any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to please contact us."
