Man charged following alleged Poole burglary

A man is to appear in court following an alleged burglary in Poole.

It follows a police investigation after a number of items were reportedly stolen at an address in Edward Road.

In a statement, Dorset Police said: "A man is due to appear in court following an investigation by officers into an alleged burglary in Poole.

"It is reported that overnight between Monday 25 August and Tuesday 26 August 2025 entry was gained to a residential address in Edward Road. A number of items were stolen during the incident, including bank cards.

"An investigation was carried out and a 46-year-old man from Poole was arrested in connection with the incident and subsequently charged with burglary.

"Following enquiries by the Neighbourhood Crime Team, the man was also charged in connection with four other burglaries that occurred in the Ashley Road area during August and September 2025.

"He appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 10 September 2025 and was remanded into custody. He is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 9 October 2025."
