Illegal vapes and Nitrous Oxide seized from Weymouth shop

Police say they were acting on a public tip-off

A large number of illegal vapes and seven large cannisters of Nitrous Oxide have been seized from a Weymouth shop by police.

Officers and Trading Standards staff went to the premises yesterday morning (Wednesday 12th October).

Possible counterfeit cigarettes and tobacco were also seized from the store.

The Nitrous Oxide is believed to have been used in the supply of psychoactive substances.

The initial visit came after public intelligence reported some underage sales of vapes there.

The owner of the shop has been spoken to, with further enquiries to be carried out as to where the seized items has come from.
