There are plans to break a World Record in Dorchester today (Thursday 31st October), to make it a Halloween to remember.

It's hoped the most costumed ghosts ever will fill Brewery Square from 5.30pm this evening.

The current record for ghosts in one place is 560.

Will Dorchester's ghosts break a world record later?

Anyone's welcome to take part later - you just have to turn up in a white sheet, or get creative with a decorated ghostly costume.

It's the culmination of a day of spooky activities in Brewery Square throughout the day.

There'll be craft sessions from 9.00am to 5.00pm, with face painting from 2.00 to 5.00pm.

Live music, dancing and competitions are being held as part of the evening events and world record attempt.
