Dorchester’s Brewery Square is hosting its annual Christmas Lights Illumination event this Sunday 28th November – postponed from its original date of Saturday 27th November due to the weather.

The free-to-attend event, running from 4pm to 7:30pm will bring a host of family-friendly activities and performances to Dorchester, including live music and entertainment, mulled wine and late-night shopping to celebrate the festive season.

The Christmas lights will be turned on by the winners of Brewery Square’s ‘Creative Kids – Design a Light’ competition, where budding local young artists were given the opportunity to design their own Christmas lights for the Square. The winning designs will be turned on and displayed in the heart of the Square.

Robert Ackland, Director at Brewery Square, said: “After hosting our Christmas Lights Illumination event virtually last year, we’re so pleased to be able to bring the festivities back in full swing for 2021 – and this year we have gone all out.

“It’s important for us to be able to bring the community together to celebrate the Christmas period while enjoying everything that Brewery Square has to offer. Being able to host our ‘Design a Light’ competition and have our winners turn on the lights this year makes it extra special.”
