Defence Secretary visits Dorset to meet Ukrainian troops
Ben Wallace has been at Bovington Camp
The Defence Secretary has been in Dorset today (Wednesday 22nd February), meeting Ukrainian troops in training here.
Ben Wallace has spent time at Bovington Camp with the soldiers learning how to use Challenger 2 tanks.
A number of the armoured vehicles are being given to Ukrainian forces by the UK, to help in the fight against Russian aggression.
Troops training in Dorset will go back to Ukraine once they've gone through the programme.
Many of them will be fighting on the frontline within days.
The Defence Secretary's comes just a couple of days after King Charles met with Ukrainian soldiers in Wiltshire.
It's also two weeks since Ukraine's President Volodmyr Zelensky visited Bovington Camp alongside Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Ben Wallace even climbed into the tanks to find out more about how they worked, and how the visiting troops are getting on with using them.
