South’s "largest" free Christmas light festival set to dazzle
Light installations, trees, illuminations and projections will light up Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
Thousands of people are expected to descend on Bournemouth for the south's largest free Christmas light festival.
Christmas Tree Wonderland features more than 100 glittering trees and illuminations lighting up a path from the town centre to the seafront.
Festive attractions have also been set up at Horseshoe Common, Lansdowne roundabout and in the Triangle.
A Christmas trail has been created in Poole featuring maritime-themed lights that will see the Twin Sails bridge and Lighthouse, lit up.
Paul Kinvig, chief operating officer at Bournemouth Town Centre Business Improvement District, said: "We live in a fantastic area of the country, and we want to celebrate that.
"Bournemouth’s Christmas Tree Winter Wonderland has been an incredible success over a number of years and this year is set to be just as spectacular."
Councillor Beverley Dunlop from BCP Council said: "I can’t think of anywhere better to celebrate the lead up to Christmas than Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
"I hope everyone can spend some time away from life’s worries and experience a little Christmas cheer this festive season."
