Series of car break-ins investigated by police in Weymouth
At least three vehicles were targeted in Greenway Road yesterday morning
A series of thefts from cars in Weymouth are being investigated by police, with an appeal for witnesses to contact officers.
A man and woman were allegedly seen breaking into cars in Greenway Road in the Redlands area just after midnight yesterday morning (Tuesday 29th October).
At least three vehicles were targeted before the pair were disturbed, and left towards Greenway Close.
The man involved is described as:
- Around five feet eight inches tall
- Slim build
- Wearing dark clothing
- Bag around his waist
The woman is described as:
- Five feet eight inches tall
- Larger build
- Wearing a black coat with the hood up
- Pink and beige tiger print leggings
- Bag around her waist
Sergeant Nick May, of Dorset Police, said:
“We are carrying out enquiries into this matter and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity, or people matching the descriptions given, in the area during the night of Monday 28th October into the early hours of Tuesday 29th October 2024.
“I would also urge residents in the vicinity to please check their footage from any home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras for anything that might assist our investigation.
“Finally, I would also like to take this opportunity to remind motorists to ensure their vehicles are left secure at all times and never to leave valuables inside when they are unattended.”
