Police investigate burglary at school in Dorchester

Two boys were arrested then de-arrested

There has been an alleged burglary at a school in Dorchester.

Dorset Police received a report at 12.16am on Tuesday (13 June) of a burglary at the Thomas Hardye School in Queens Avenue.

Officers attended and two boys, aged 16 and 17 from Dorchester, were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

They have been de-arrested while further enquiries are carried out.

Police Constable Dan White, of Dorchester police, said: “An investigation is ongoing and I would ask anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area to please come forward.

“I am appealing to residents in the vicinity to please check their home CCTV or doorbell cameras to check for footage of anyone seen running away from the scene.”
