Bridport Fire and Rescue have joined Movember and are growing moustaches to raise money for men's mental health and prostate cancer charities.

The firefighters say they want to break the stigma surrounding men talking to each other about their feelings.

They are also encouraging men to get themselves checked if they have any signs of testicular or prostate cancer found on the NHS website.

The group have raised £310 for Movember so far and are hoping to raise as much money as they can before the month is over.

Bridport Fire's Watch Manager Tony Beazer told us how the boy's facial hair growth is currently going.

He said: "There's lots of variety, some of the younger ones might need a few more years to get a proper moustache.

"Me on the other hand - I'm one of the men touted as someone who needs a shave - my wife does not like it one bit it's like a Hulk Hogan/ Hannibal sort of moustache, but it's for a good cause.

"I think the older generation has this thing where we don't talk about our personal feelings, but we need to break down those barriers and get away from that.

"It's okay to get emotional and its okay to talk about our feelings - this is why we're doing Movember this month."
