Boy clipped by car in Gillingham fail-to-stop collision

A 12 year old boy's been clipped by a car as he was walking with his mum in Gillingham.

The passing silver car's wing mirror struck the lad at around 8.45am last Friday morning (6th January), but the vehicle didn't stop at the scene.

The boy suffered a minor injury to his arm.

Dorset Police is now asking any witnesses to come forward.

PC Natasha Riley, of North Dorset police, said:

“We are continuing to carry out enquiries into this incident and I would appeal anyone who saw what happened, or who has information relating to the vehicle involved, to please get in touch.

“I would also ask that motorists who were driving in the area around the relevant time check any dashcam footage for anything that might assist our investigation.”
