Bournemouth Airport rated one of the best airports in the UK

Bournemouth Airport awarded highest honour and five four-star ratings

Bournemouth Airport has been rated a top three airport in the UK for customer experience, according to Which?, improving on last year’s ranking of fifth.

The airport received a 75% customer satisfaction score on its way to winning the brand’s prestigious ‘Recommended Provider’ status in their annual airport survey.

Steve Gill, Managing Director of Bournemouth Airport, said: “The esteemed 'Recommended Provider' status is a resounding vote of confidence not only in our airport but, most importantly, in our dedicated staff who consistently go above and beyond for our passengers.”

Airport staff received a four-staff rating along with baggage reclaim, queuing at check-in and security waiting time which were reportedly the shortest in the country at 13 minutes.

Mr Gill added: "We are absolutely delighted to see Bournemouth Airport recognised as one of the top airports in the UK for customer experience.”

In addition, Bournemouth Airport performed well in reliability, recording fewer flight cancellations than any other airport in the list, just 0.1% from May 2022 to April 2023.

Earlier this summer, the airport was awarded a 'very good' ranking – the highest possible – from the Civil Aviation Authority for its customer service to disabled and less mobile passengers.
