A second man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting in Wolverhampton.

Officers from West Midlands Police confirmed that a 23-year-old man had been arrested in Manchester on Friday (February 14th).

The arrest was made following the force's inquiries into a shooting which took place on Frederick Street in Wolverhampton last September.

In the incident, it is believed that gunshots were fired from a car which had been aimed at three women as it was driving by.

The three women were injured in the shooting and required hospital treatment, but were all later discharged from hospital.

This is not the first arrest in relation to the shooting, as previously officers had arrested and charged a 21-year-old man with attempted murder, as well as possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
