A Walsall man has been jailed for 24 years after being convicted of historic sexual abuse and rape against a woman and the abuse of a boy.
Clive Penniall from Wolverhampton Road West was found guilty of three charges of rape of a woman and a domestic assault between 1993 and 2001.
He had previously admitted 11 counts of indecent assault on a boy and four counts of indecency with a child during the same period.
DC Sara Turton, from our Public Protection Unit said: “Penniall subjected a child to years of repeated serious sexual abuse and raped a woman on a number of occasions. I am delighted he has received many years behind bars so that he can no longer pose a risk to the community.
“I would like to commend the survivors of Penniall’s abuse, who found the courage to come forward and speak to us. Their bravery has brought him to justice and protected others from potential future crimes.”
The 55-year-old's offending came to light when one of his survivors reported to police what had happened to him.
Another survivor was identified during the course of the investigation - a woman who Penniall had raped on a number of occasions.
