A man has been jailed after admitting a string of burglary offences in Sutton Coldfield.

Steven Franks, 50, of Felton Croft, Birmingham, broke into three homes within 30 minutes of each other on 16 March this year.

He was found after police spotted him sitting in one of his victim's car.

PC Scott Sheppard, from our Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: "Following a lengthy investigation conducted by our Neighbourhood Crime Team, Franks has now been jailed.

“I hope that this sentence will give his victims some sort of justice, and it acts as a deterrent to others committing this type of crime."

He was sentenced in Birmingham Crown Court on Friday (20 Sept).
