Man arrested in Wolverhampton over attempted murder
Police found a firearm in a car they stopped on Monday evening
Police have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder after stopping a car in Wolverhampton they believe was linked to a shooting in Dudley.
It was spotted on Monday evening and pulled-over by armed officers at Great Hampton Street where a 34 year old man was then detained.
A firearm described as "live and viable" was found during a search of the vehicle.
The arrest follows a shooting at Dudley on Sunday 6th April where a man turned-up at hospital with a suspected gunshot wound - he remains in recovery.
