West Mercia Police 'concerned' for welfare of escaped Birmingham prisoner

West Mercia Police have said they are "concerned" for the welfare of an escaped Birmingham prisoner who was seen leaving Birmingham earlier this month.
Officers have been on the lookout for Wayne Matthews after he was seen in Birmingham earlier this month, on June 18th.
New images have been released by the force that show Matthews, who is 51 years old, appearing to leaving Birmingham's Digbeth Coach Station at 3:22p.m.
A second picture was caught of the man on CCTV, where he was seen wearing a jacket - though, this is the last clear image the force have of him.
The second CCTV image of him was captured at 6:02 p.m. at Halesowen Bus Station heading towards Hagley Road in the south west of the city.
In an appeal, the force said that Matthews is already facing a recall to prison for his actions, but have said they are increasingly "concerned for his welfare".
Anyone who lives in the Clent and Hagley areas of the conurbation should get in touch as soon as possible if they have seen him, or to report any potential previous sightings as enquiries into his whereabouts continue.
As well as this, Matthews has several links to Birmingham, but also to Worcester and Southend-on-Sea.
Currently, it has not yet been established whether the escaped prisoner has returned to Worcestershire or gone elsewhere.
According to the force, he was last seen wearing a grey t shirt, blue jeans, grey Converse trainers and carrying two black holdalls.
If anyone sees the man, they are being urged to dial 999 immediately to report a sighting.
