Last updated 18th Sep 2020
Following the VERY exciting news that Steps are returning in November with a new album and tour in 2021, they have just dropped their new song 'What the Future Holds'. And of course, this was the perfect opportunity to get them in to Hits Radio Pride to tell us ALL about it.
Admitting to Jordan Lee that their new music was originally due for release just as the Coronavirus lockdown started, they revealed that hitmaker Sia wrote their new song, 'What the Future Holds'.

Of course Sia is known for her massive hits 'Chandelier' and 'Titanium' with David Guetta, but she is also a very talented songwriter, having penned, 'Diamonds' for Rihanna and co-written Katy Perry's 'Chained to the Rhythm'.
Claire explained, "We've been so lucky, I think because 'Tears On The Dancefloor' did so well, that we were overwhelmed with choice and the people that wanted to write and to give us music for this album."
H added, "I think this whole new chapter of Steps is actually happening because of that one song (by Sia). We listened to that song on the last tour and I guess the whole campaign, the whole sound, the album is all based around Sia's contribution to that.
"So it's like thanks to Sia that this is happening, which is incredible".
Sia didn't only write their new song, according to Lee she gave it her seal of approval, with Faye adding, "We're all big fans so it's really, really amazing."
Steps announced on Tuesday (8th September) they would be releasing an album full of new music in November this year, followed by a UK tour in November 2021. The tour will see the group performing across the UK, supported by Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
They can't wait to take to the road, but admitted they are waiting until the end of next year because they want their fans to be safe.
