Man avoids jail after stalking Strictly judge Shirley Ballas
37-year-old Kyle Shaw's been given a 20-month suspended sentence
A man who stalked Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas for over six years has avoided jail.
37-year-old Kyle Shaw subjected the TV star to a six-and-a-half-year campaign of torment which included posting a picture of her home online, as well as trying to get in touch with her family and friends.
Liverpool Crown Court has today heard how Ballas felt threatened, upset and frightened and suffered sleepless nights because of concerns about her and her family's safety.
On one occasion Shaw bombarded her with threatening messages and on another tried to approach the star's mother in a supermarket.
Shaw, from Birkenhead, has also been given a life restraining order against the Judge.
