How to eat a pineapple and how to floss dance are amongst the most Googled phrases in 2019

As 2019 draws to a close, Google has released details of the most searched for words and phrases, including the most searched for TV shows, movies, musicians and questions such as 'How to?' and 'What is?'.

Whilst some of the lists are made up of quite predictable results such as the ever-popular Love Island coming in at Number 3 in the Top TV Shows, and I'm a Celebrity and Stranger Things also included at Number 5 and 6 respectively, others are a surprise, including How to floss dance? and How to eat pineapple?

When it comes to musicians, the Top 10 included Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle (Number 2), Lewis Capaldi (Number 4), One Direction's Louis Tomlinson (Number 7), and Little Mix's Jesy Nelson (Number 8).

Here in the UK, some of the most Googled TV shows unsurprisingly include Netflix favourites Stranger Things, reality TV shows, Love Island and I'm A Celebrity, with Game of Thrones taking the top spot, after its eighth and final season was aired earlier this year. See the full list below.
