A Spanish charity called Música para Despertar have gone viral with their latest video of a former prima ballerina with Alzheimer's Disease.

The powerful video, which was uploaded to the charity's YouTube page, shows a Spanish lady called Marta C. González listening to the famous music from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, and what happens next is truly wonderful.

Marta, who sadly passed away in 2019, instantly remembers her ballerina routine whilst listening to the composition, leading her to moving her head and arms in the most graceful way, just like she did in the 1960s with the New York Ballet company.

Watch the incredible moment below:

After seeing the video, viewers were quick to comment expressing their emotions. One man wrote, 'I'm not a man who cries easily, but this just made me cry.'

Another then wrote, 'It is true that "to remember is to relieve again", my admiration and love to her', with a third adding, 'well this old dancer is sobbing - that was so beautiful'. (sic)

'This is so beautiful it brought me to tears, thank you so much for sharing. So much love, respect and admiration ❤️ God bless', wrote another.

The Spanish charity which uploaded the video, Música para Despertar, praise themselves on using powerful music from a patient living with Alzheimer's Disease to help improve both their memory and their mood.

According to the Alzheimer's Society, around 850,000 people live with dementia in the UK, and the number is projected to rise to 1.6 million by 2040. There's also 42,000 people under 65 living with dementia in the UK.
