Tom Grennan delights fans with Big Issue busking gig in Coventry

Singer Tom Grennan has delighted fans by performing a surprise gig in Coventry to support the Big Issue.

The 29-year-old Sky Blues fan returned to the city on Thursday evening to busk, alongside his grandma who grew up in Canley.

The gig aimed to raise funds for the Big Issue, a magazine which supports the homeless and those facing poverty.

Speaking to us ahead of his performance, Tom said: "I fell in love with Coventry because it's all about community, and when I came up here I just felt this sense of community.

"The Big Issue is all about community, and I thought 'let's go to Cov' and here were are."

Despite the rain, dozens of fans turned up in FarGo Village in Coventry city centre to see the hit-maker perform some of his best known songs, including his new single Higher.
