Three people injured at illegal rave in South Wales

An investigation's started after three people were injured at an illegal rave in South Wales.

A crowd of more than 1,000 people and 70 vehicles were found at Kenfig Industrial Estate near Porthcawl late last night.

Images online show dozens of cars dumped on the road leading into the industrial estate, with access to the site closed off.

None of those taken to hospital have been seriously hurt.

South Wales Police have urged people to stay away from the area.

Assistant Chief Constable Mark Travis from South Wales Police said:

“Initial reports indicated that in excess of 1000 people and 70 vehicles are in attendance. A number of officers have been deployed. We are urging people to leave the site safely and stay away from the event.

"The Welsh Ambulance Service has attended in response to calls from the scene.

"Currently three people have been taken to hospital, none of those persons are seriously injured."
