Three men found dead after vehicle pulled from river in North Yorkshire

The 4x4 went into the River Esk in the North York Moors at around Midday

Three men have been pronounced dead after a 4x4 was pulled from a river in North Yorkshire.

Emergency services, including police, fire and ambulance crews, were called to the River Esk near Glaisdale at 11:48am this morning.

The vehicle was recovered from the water at around 3pm. All three occupants had died.

Another man who was attempting to help the group was pulled to safety at around 12:10pm and is receiving medical treatment.

North Yorkshire Police say next of kin have been told and 'special support' is being provided to families.

Witnesses or anyone with information is being urged to contact officers on 101.
