A business owner in Tenbury Wells, who suffered flooding following Storm Bert, has said they are "thankful" for all the support and offers of help they've received.

It's a week since the Kyre Brook burst its banks and caused a wall to collapse, leading to the Worcestershire town suffering significant flooding.

Areas across Herefordshire and Worcestershire were impacted by the storm, leading to disruption on both the roads, and to schools.

Bridie Jackson runs the Unwined bar and bistro on Market Street who have managed to re-open again, and she says it's amazing how the full community has rallied round each other.

"We're lucky that everyone does seem to pull together," she said.

"They're resilient, and we have had so many offers of help from people which we are so thankful for.

"This was the first time the water has got in so it has had a huge effect on us, but in the past we've had to close for days while the town gets cleaned up, so it causes a loss of trade.

"As soon as the wall broke we just ran inside and tried to save as much as we could, but the larger items we weren't able to move, so we did suffer flood damage to some of them sadly."

Speaking in Prime Minister's Questions earlier this week, Sir Kier Starmer said he was "committed" to tackling flooding issues and working with places like Tenbury Wells to build schemes to protect the area.
