Leicester City has confirmed they have sacked manager Steve Cooper following their defeat to Chelsea.

The club said in a statement that Steve will leave his position as the manager of the team with immediate effect.

As well as this, Assistant Manager Alan Tate, as well as coach and analyst Steve Rands have also left the club.

In their statement, the club said: "Steve, Alan and Steve depart with our thanks for their contribution during their time with the Club and with our best wishes for the future."

The team has had a dismal run in the current season of the Premier League, losing to Chelsea 2-1 on Saturday (November 23rd).

Currently, the team are sitting in 16th place in the league after 12 games - a far cry from their previous success in years gone by.

Leicester City have confirmed that the process of finding a new manager is ongoing, although they hope will "conclude as soon as possible".

In the meantime, the team will be coached by interim First Team Coach Ben Dawson, as well as Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes.
