A57 closed as emergency services attend serious collision on Snake Pass
Derbyshire Police have advised travellers to take other routes

Emergency services have closed the Snake Pass a result of a serious collision that took place on the road earlier this afternoon.
The stretch of the A57, which links the cities of Manchester and Sheffield, was closed off by officers - blocking off a key route through the Peak District.
Just after 1pm, Derbyshire Police released a statement on their social media channels urging motorists to avoid the road where possible.
This was promptly followed by the same statement being released on Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, which described the incident as a "serious collision".
As well as this, an air ambulance has been deployed to the scene treating those affected as a result of the incident.
The statement read: "The A57 Snake Pass is closed between Hurst Road in Glossop and the junction with Ladybower Reservoir following a serious collision.
"Please avoid the area and use alternative routes," the message finished as services continued to attend the ongoing incident.
Along the road, emergency services blocked off both entrances to the Pass to stop new cars from being caught in the travel disruption.
Snake Pass is a popular route for people looking to travel easily between Sheffield and Manchester.
The road is notorious for road traffic accidents and regularly closes in winter due to treacherous conditions created by poor weather.
