Police in North Yorkshire say they've now drained a pond, as they continue to search for missing York woman Claudia Lawrence.

The chef, who's believed to have been murdered, disappeared in 2009.

Despite arrests, nobody's ever been charged in connection with her disappearance and her body still hasn't been found.

Last week officers were at Sand Hutton Gravel Pits, around eight miles from York.

The force has sent us a statement:

"North Yorkshire Police can confirm that a pond at Sand Hutton Gravel Pits has been drained as part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance and suspected murder of Claudia Lawrence.

Officers remain at the site and the searches that began last week are continuing. We expect to be at the site for a number of days."
