Pro-Palestine rallies take place across UK as many struggle to flee after evacuation order
A warning issued by Israel ordered civilians to evacuate from Northern Gaza.
Pro-Palestine rallies have taken place today around the UK.
Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn addressed the thousands at a pro-Palestine rally in London, calling on political leaders to condemn Israeli's assault on Gaza.
"It is a day of solidarity and it is a day of hope," the independent MP for Islington North told the crowd.
He said that around the world people were standing in support of the people in Gaza.
"There are many who say that nobody should be here today because they'll be condoning terrible things. None of us are here to condone killing. None of us are here to condone occupation.
A pro-Palestine group, Palestine Action, also vandalised BBC headquarters in London and BBC's Hanover Building in Liverpool accusing the broadcaster of having "blood on it hands."
The buildings were sprayed with red paint to symbolise its "complicity in spilling Palestinian blood."
The BBC has faced criticism in recent days for maintaining its editorial stance not to describe Hamas militants as terrorists.
These protests come on the same day as the warning for civilians to evacuate Northern Gaza expires.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) warned more than 1 million residents in northern Gaza to evacuate on Friday in anticipation of an upcoming ground assault.
The 24-hour evacuation order has now expired as many civilians are still attempting to flee on foot.
