£100k raised in memory of three teenagers killed in crash

Within 48 hours, more than £100,000 has been raised for the Midlands Air Ambulance after the death of three teenagers.

Chipping Campden School pupils Harry Purcell, 17, Matilda Seccombe, 16 and Frank Wormald, 16, died in hospital after being involved in a collision last Friday (21st April).

A fourth teenager, Edward Spencer, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Close friends Alex Adams and Gracie Edmunds, have set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance charity and plan to run the Oxford Half Marathon in their classmate's honour.

On the fundraiser Alex says he wanted to honour the work of the Air Ambulance in thier attmepts to save his friends' lives, "Us three teenagers will do everything we can to help this service save as many lives as possible so close communities like ours don’t have to suffer with loss.

"We hope you can join us in helping out this amazing service."

Floral tributes, balloons and football shirts have been left outside Chipping Campden school, where Harry, Tilly and Frank all attended as Year 12 pupils.

In a letter released after the death of the three teenagers, Principle John Sanderson says the loss of these "remarkable and unique" students will be "profoundly felt" and people are invited to leave tributes under the school's flag which is flying at half mast.

Another teen, Edward Spencer, was taken to hospital with serious injuries - but reports suggest he is in a stable condition.
