West Yorkshire Police say they've identified the mother of the new born baby girl, who was found in a pub toilets following a stillborn birth.

Yesterday there was a direct appeal to the woman to come forward so she could get help and medical attention, after the little girl was discovered at the Three Horse Shoes pub.

Detectives have insisted it's not a criminal inquiry, but a safeguarding one.

The force say the woman has now received the appropriate medical care and is being given ongoing support.

Officers are also thanking the public for their help.
