Detectives are searching for a man after a triple murder in Bushey.
Police have been searching throughout the night for 26-year-old Kyle Clifford from the Enfield area who is wanted in connection with the incident.
Hertfordshire Police arrived at the scene just before 7pm last night along with the East of England Ambulance Service, where three women, believed to be related, were all found seriously injured.
They sadly died at the scene a short time later.
Police believe Kyle Clifford could be in Hertfordshire or North London, and say he could still be armed with a weapon.
Detectives say he may have a crossbow.
Detective Superintendent Rob Hall from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit said: “This is an incredibly difficult incident for the victims’ family and we would ask that their privacy is respected as they come to terms with what has happened.
“Whilst we are still in the early stages of this investigation, we are actively seeking Kyle Clifford who we believe could be in the areas of Hertfordshire or North London.
“Given the serious nature of the incident, I would ask anyone who knows where he is to contact police immediately. If you believe you see him, please do not approach him and dial 999 straight away. He may still be in possession of a weapon.
“Our enquires will continue over the coming days to ascertain the full circumstances of what happened but I would also like to take this opportunity appeal to anyone who was in the area around Ashlyn Close from around lunchtime on Tuesday until 7pm, and believes they may have seen anything that could assist the investigation, to contact us.
“This incident will of course be of concern to local residents. Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be in the area today so please do speak to them if you need to.”

Councillor "deeply saddened" and urges people not to speculate
In a Facebook post issued by Councillor Louise Nicholas, she urges people not to speculate as the investigation continues.
Cllr Nicholas said: "I am deeply saddened to learn this morning of the tragic news that three women have lost their lives in a violent incident in the North Bushey Ward overnight.
"Along with my fellow councillors I offer my heartfelt condolences to all those affected. Should anyone wish to speak with us or require any support please do not hesitate to get in touch.
"It goes without saying that this is a live investigation, so speculation as to the circumstances should not be entered into on this public forum.
"The police continue to search for the suspect and details of how to contact them with any relevant information can be found in the attached message.
