A man has died after his vehicle entered flood water in Colne.

Emergency services say they rushed to the scene on Cockhill Lane, Foulridge, on Saturday afternoon, where they managed to rescue the man in his 80s.

He was rushed to hospital, but later died.

A woman in her 80s was also rescued. She is receiving treatment, but her condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

Lancashire Police say they aren't treating the man's death as suspicious, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
