Man arrested after religious criminal damage incident at Watford Islamic Centre

Hertfordshire Police have arrested a man on suspicion of religiously aggravated criminal damage after an Islamic Centre was targeted overnight in Watford.

Officers say The Imam Hussein Foundation Centre, North Approach had been covered with graffiti overnight, from October 4 to October 5.

Patrols in 'key locations' are now being carried out, and the force are urging members of the public to report any suspicious activity, safety concerns, or incidents.

The man remains in custody.

Anyone with information about the incident in Watford is asked to get in touch through calling 101 quoting ISR 340 of 5 October, or reporting anonymously by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
