Even after his death, Jordan Banks is helping others.

The 9-year-old died after being struck by lightning while playing football earlier this week.

But the legacy of his kindness is carrying on, as his Dad has revealed in a heartfelt post on Facebook that Jordan was an organ donor - meaning three other children have another chance at life.

In the tribute he said that, "Jordan was and is the most amazing little person he had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone."

"I couldn’t have been prouder of him always putting other people himself, such a selfless little person.

"Even now his kindness has meant that 3 other children may be able to live as he always told us he wanted to be able to help other people if he could so was a donor and has donated which we know will be what he wanted.

"Not only have I lost my little boy I have lost my little best mate."

"Literally words can’t even explain how heartbroken I am.

He also spoke about Jordan's passions, one of which was Liverpool FC, who wore shirt with his name on during a warm-up before their match against Manchester United.

In a tweet, Liverpool FC said: "You'll never walk alone, Jordan Banks."

His Dad also said he was also passionate about martial arts and fashion, adding, "he would change his outfit 3 times a day," and if his Cobra Kai or Liverpool tops weren't clean he wouldn't be happy!

He urges parents to "cherish every moment" with their children, "as you never know when moments like that will be taken away from you."

The message has been shared across Facebook by members of the Blackpool community and beyond, along with pictures that his Dad feels Jordan would've liked people to have seen.

The money being donated to a fundraiser for his family to cover funeral costs is continuing to rise as people across the country have been touched by Jordan's big heart.

Lancashire Police also posted a tribute on their Facebook page alluding to the kindness of the little boy.

People also gathered outside their homes last night in Blackpool to put their hands together and applaud an amazing young lad in an NHS-style doorstep clap.
