It's understood that Frank Lampard is in advanced talks around becoming the next Coventry City manager.

Earlier this month the Sky Blues sacked Mark Robins, who had been at the club for seven years, with a statement on X saying it was a "difficult decision".

At a Coventry City Fan Forum last week, owner Doug King confirmed that Lampard has applied for the job.

Former England midfielder Lampard has been out of work since an eleven-game spell as Chelsea interim boss last year.

Lampard has also managed Everton and Derby.
