Flybe to return to the skies with hundreds of jobs to be created
The airline will begin flying again in early 2022

Flybe has announced it will being operating again in early 2022, over a year since the airline collapsed.
The company closed in March 2020 as one of the first major victims of the pandemic, before being bought out by Thyme Opco in April 2021.
Roughly 200 jobs are set to be created over the next three years with domestic services and flights to the EU set to the begin from spring next year.
In addition, the headquarters of the company will move to Birmingham from Exeter, but heavy presences will remain in other cities such as Manchester, Aberdeen, Belfast and Southampton.
Speaking about the move to Birmingham, Mayor of the West Midlands, Andy Street said: “It really is such brilliant news that Flybe is coming back as a commercial airline, and even better that it has chosen Birmingham to house its new headquarters.
"Flybe’s choice highlights the strength of the aerospace sector in the West Midlands and the talent pool available."
Specific details about the routes that Flybe will run are due to be announced later, once core staff have been employed. Before closing, Flybe operated most routes in the UK outside of London airports.
