Dog shot dead by armed police in Yorkshire
It's the latest in a string of incidents nationwide

A dog has been shot by police after two people and a dog were attacked in Halifax, Yorkshire.
Police said they received a report of a concern for safety on Stainland Road, Sowood just before 6 pm, yesterday (Monday 6 November).
Police said in a statement:
"The dog’s owner, and another person were reported to be injured, as was another dog.
"Attempts to restrain the dog were unsuccessful and it was destroyed by armed officers who attended the scene.
"Both injured parties were taken to hospital with minor injuries and the injured dog was taken to be seen by a vet.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances of what happened."
A woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and police are appealing for information.
It' the latest of several incidents in the UK this year where police have shot a dog.
In May, Met Police in London hit the headlines when they shot and killed two dogs in posession of a suspect
In Lancashire, a police dog was killed after turning on it's handler during an investigation. It later emerged the dog was shot at the scene by officers.
There was another incident in Oldham in September when police tracked down and shot dead two dogs that were of lead and said to be dangerous.
